Method
Radar, our news monitoring, reads Hacker News, Reddit, official AI company blogs, press, Google News, wire services, Hugging Face and Bluesky for the AI pillar, at most once a day, before topics are chosen. Every item is kept once by its link, with the time it was first seen. This page counts those items; it never republishes their text beyond the headline and link.
An announcement's coverage is the number of source types that carried it. Items count as the same announcement when they link the same page (ignoring tracking parameters, www and trailing slashes) or carry the same headline once case, punctuation and a trailing outlet name are removed. Days are UTC. Nothing is estimated by a language model.
