Eligibility criteria and strict six-month console constraints
Startups qualify if they were founded in the last five years or received funding in the last two years. The program accepts bootstrapped, pre-seed, and venture-backed companies without requiring external institutional investment.12
Applicants must provide a Claude Console account, a short description of their build, and a company email matching their domain. Most approvals arrive within minutes, while manual reviews take 2 to 3 business days.2
Credits expire six months after being granted and apply exclusively to the first-party Claude API within Claude Console. They cannot be used on third-party cloud platforms such as AWS Bedrock or Google Cloud Vertex AI.2
Claude Team plan values and workspace pricing
The free year covers up to five Claude Team Premium seats, restricted strictly to organizations new to Teams. Claude Team serves groups of 2 to 150 members and excludes customer content from model training by default.234
